Its All in the Blood

A Triple Threat, from Covered to Supping and now Ministers, we’re serving notice to the Kingdom of Darkness that we’re taking it and we’re taking it by force and bringing it to the obedience of Christ:

2 Corinthians 10:2-5

3 For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh: 4 For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds; 5 Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;

Exodus 11:6-7

6 And there shall be a great cry throughout all the land of Egypt, such as there was none like it, nor shall be like it any more. 7 But against any of the children of Israel shall not a dog move his tongue, against man or beast: that ye may know how that the LORD doth put a difference between the Egyptians and Israel.

When you see the Blood

When I see the logo for Covered By the Blood Films, I think of natural child birth. A woman’s water breaks and that is the sign that the child is coming forth. The water is the first thing we see at the beginning of the logo and then the droplets of blood, it is here we know that something is coming forth. As with childbirth, it is a violent, painful and messy process and when the baby comes forth they are covered in blood and other fluids. That is what happens to us when we are born…and then born again…in Christ Jesus. If its real, it too is a bloody, painful and messy process.

From the moment the first drop of “blood” hits the water, it begins to transform into this image. The moment we confess Christ as our Lord and savior, Jesus’ shed blood comes upon the doorposts of our heart and our transformation takes place, our transformation into the image of Christ. As with the logo for CBTB Films, I didn’t and neither does the audience see who makes the image appear, just as we don’t see the one who molds and transforms us, but when it is by the Holy Spirit, we will be unrecognizable to ourselves and others, just as we can’t recognize the image that ultimately forms at the end of the logo, but when you see the blood, you know who it is and at the end of your transformation we should see some of Him in you.

As with the Israelites and the Egyptians, in the book of Exodus, the blood of the unblemished lamb and ultimately, the blood of the Christ, it was God’s way of setting a difference between, that which is his and that which is of the world. When you see the blood, you know that with every project, a difference is being set between. In this regard, I am often asked, if you want to honor God, why not make movies like “other spiritual films” instead of the dark and violent projects I produce. Unlike some of those “other films,” my projects are inspired by God through the Holy Spirit and just like the Bible, these inspired stories, serve as a reminder of several things: The crucifixion of Christ and his blood that was shed on that ragged cross for the remission of sins for every born again believer and to bring to your remembrance and understanding what the word promises to those that reject his sacrifice, these sufferings shall come upon you.

Finally, the unfolding of the logo tells the story of the birthing of a brand, but it also tells another story. As the woman brings forth her child, I too have been brought forth anew. The story of my new birth and the stories that I tell under the Covered by the blood Films brand are a reflection of that.

So, the next time you see the blood, ask yourself, Are you Covered?

Can God see the blood on you?
